This is the cake Mommy and Mom-Mom made for Ashlyn's birthday. Looks pretty, not so good tasting with the fondant icing. We love you Ashlyn and hope you had a great weekend! Next up is a new kitten--can't wait!

Awesome job on the cake!!! Is fondant icing really that gross? I am obsessed with the Food Network Challenge show when they have to re-create those ginormous cakes!! It's crazy to watch what they can do with materials that are entirely edible (even though you may not want to eat it!)
I can't even tell what's cake and what isn't?!
Next time we make the cake we will just use regular icing. The cake part is easy, just use a pamper chef glass bowl and get the doll from Micheael's and make her an icing top. Ashlyn was shocked she had no legs!
